USFIMR includes high-resolution inundation extent maps of past U.S. flood events based on analysis of Remote Sensing imagery from a number of Satellite sensors (e.g. Landsat, Sentinel-1) with some ground proofing based on secondary sources (e.g. news reports, social media)
Available flood inundation maps are visualized in the web map below and listed in the subsequent table.
Flood layer metadata and Shapefile download links are accessible by selecting a flood polygon in the web map. Shapefile download links are also available in the table below.
